virtusec.com© is the brain-child of Georgiana Craster and was set up in London in April 2000 after 15 years of “real world” PA work. Georgiana is now self-employed and provides professional, administrative, technical, or social assistance to clients remotely from a home office. Because virtusec.com© is an independent contractors and not an employee, the clients are not responsible for any employee-related taxes, insurance or benefits, except in the context that those indirect expenses are included in the VA’s fees. Clients also avoid the logistical problem of providing extra office space or equipment and supplies get charged only on consumption. Contrary to most VAs, virtusec.com© works only for one client at a time, therefore dedicating all the resources available at 100% as clients pay for 100% productive work.
virtusec.com©’s common modes of communication and data delivery include the Internet, e-mail and phone-call conferences and online work spaces and virtusec.com© uses technology such as Skype as well as FaceTime.
virtusec.com© can answer your phone remotely without the end user’s knowledge. This allows many businesses to add a personal touch in the form of a receptionist without the additional cost of hiring someone.
All assignments undertaken, other than “one-offs”, are subject to an agreed contract that sets out a tariff of rates for individual types of work, as well as specifying turnaround times and credit terms. As an indication, hourly rates are from £20.00, depending on the complexity and duration of the task.
All activity is recorded in minimum 15-minute blocks, recognising that few tasks take exactly an hour, and supplied as a timesheet giving a breakdown for every monthly invoice.
